Life Choices is a toolkit that addresses the needs of Alpha-1 patients and family members related to end of life decisions. It focuses on the legal, clinical and emotional needs in a constructive, supportive and positive manner. It promotes dialogue among family members regarding sensitive issues and moves a person to a new understanding regarding end of life wishes. We gratefully acknowledge CSL Behring and Grifols for sponsoring this program.
Life Choices includes a Five Wishes Living Will which “helps you express how you want to be treated if you are seriously ill and unable to speak for yourself. It deals with all of a person’s needs: medical, personal, emotional and spiritual.”
