Fundraising

tom and friends It doesn't matter how Alpha-1 has entered your life, we all share a common purpose which is to provide continue to support and education to Alphas and their families. Fundraising can be lots of fun and its a great way to build awareness for Alpha-1-Antitrypsin Deficiency.

Conducting a fundraiser is a chance for you to be creative, have fun and use your imagination! With your support, together, we can continue to further the Association's mission to identifying individuals affected by Alpha-1 and improving the quality of their lives through support, education, advocacy and to encourage participation in research.

Here are some ways you can fundraise:

  1. Participate in our annual Operation 100! The goal is to have 100 people raise $100 each, total in $10,000. This fundraiser is starts on June 9 - September 17.
  2. Create your own fundraiser. You can create, plan and host a fundraiser on behalf of the Alpha-1 Association.  Some examples include outdoors activities such a sports tournament, walk, hike or something indoors like a special event. All fundraising activites must be approved by the Association. Download the Alpha-1 Association Fundraiser Information Sheet and application to get started.
  3. Matching Gifts - There are some companies who will match employee's donations. Check with your Human Resources Dept. to see if you have a matching gift program.
