Friday, April 9, 2021
9:00 am to 1:00 pm ET
The Alpha-1 Foundation invites you to the 22nd Gordon L. Snider Critical Issues Workshop entitled “CT Lung Density Estimates in Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency: State of the Art”, which is going to be laser-focused on the clinical endpoint CT densitometry. The meeting will take place virtually on April 9, 2021 and will be composed of several informative sessions focusing on topics such as the regulatory approach to rare and orphan diseases, what CT densitometry means to clinical trials, the results of the RAPID trial, and more. We are very proud that Mark Brantly, MD and Ken Chapman, MD are co-chairing the workshop and that Berend Stoel, PhD has joined the planning committee.
Our special guest speaker will be Peter Marks, MD, PhD, Director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) at the Food and Drug Administration.
The outcome of this workshop will be a white paper and our proposed collaboration with the regulatory agencies on the issuance of guidance. By bringing together a group of leading experts, we hope to change the way people think about CT densitometry as a clinical endpoint.
The Alpha-1 Foundation is aware that there are many questions outstanding with regards to imaging. With exciting new developments in imaging, we intend to have a future workshop that focuses on new and innovative procedures.
All persons who are employed by an industry company must register to attend as an exhibitor, including MSLs and healthcare providers, by contacting Angela McBride at email@example.com.
