Alpha-1 & Mental Health
When we talk about health, we can’t just focus on lung health, or liver health, or brain health, and not even whole-body health. You have to see the whole person, and make use of the tools and resources that benefit minds and bodies together.
The Alpha-1 Foundation took note of the large number of Alphas and their caregivers who reported challenges with mental health. In particular, over 70% of those who responded to our survey reported they suffered from anxiety and/or depression. We set forth to find tools that might benefit our community.
