AlphaNet, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501( c )(3) organization that provides comprehensive support, education and self-management strategies for Alphas. In addition, it provides education programs for nurses, physicians and respiratory therapists, and clinical research study management. AlphaNet contributes significant funding to support research activities of the Alpha-1 Foundation.

The Alpha-1 Foundation solicits and accepts contributions from industry to support its program activities. The Foundation will always exercise independent judgment in its decision-making, regardless of any financial support received from another organization or entity.
The Foundation receives funding from major industry partners— CSL Behring, EVERSANA, Grifols and Takeda, among others, totaling 36% of annual revenue.
Other sources of revenue include: special events, major gifts, planned giving, general contributions and family research initiatives.
Recognized for good operating practices, accountability and responsible governance, the Alpha-1 Foundation has received the National Health Council’s Full Compliance Certification and the Charity Seal from the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance. These are the highest accreditations attainable in the not-for-profit and voluntary health sectors. The Foundation has also received an Exceptional 4-Star rating by Charity Navigator, the highest rating given by that organization. GuideStar has also awarded the Platinum Seal of Transparency, their highest level of recognition, to the Alpha-1 Foundation.
