Instead of waiting and worrying, Misti Bruderer, a mother of Alpha-1 children took action and raised money for Alpha-1 research by running the Salt Lake Half Marathon race.  Click here to view the video on ABC News. Her daughter Saddie (SZ) was diagnosed with Alpha-1 and has high liver levels. Her son Easton (MZ) is a carrier. Click here to read her story.
