Having obtained his doctorate from Syracuse University, Dr. Holloway’s research interests have been in the doctor-patient relationship, with an evolving focus on the humanities in medicine and psychology. His broad experience and interests include clinical work as a marriage and family therapist and research on the emotional dimensions of health and illness. He is the recipient of many awards and honors for his work, and has had over 100 papers published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Holloway is a member of the American Psychological Association, Collaborative Family Healthcare Association, and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. My Name is Joe is his first novel, based on his son’s ordeal with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and subsequent liver transplant.
