Dr. Stocks’ interest in the patient community is illustrated by his initiation and participation annual education day in Tyler, Texas twelve years ago that routinely attracts 40 people. Dr. Stocks is enthusiastic about continuing his involvement in the Alpha-1 community member of the board of directors.

Dr. James Stock has been involved in the Alpha-1 community for over a decade in facets. He has many years of experience in clinical research specific to Alpha-1. He is a principle investigator for one of the original and largest centers in the U.S. National Alpha-1 patients. He currently serves as Professor of Medicine and Medical Director Center for Clinical Research at the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler. Dr. Stock and/or research interests include sleep disorders in adults and school-age children, antitrypsin deficiency, new therapies in COPD & asthma and respiratory infections.
